One of my favorite download web site, FileHippo.com, has realeased a little portable software that will check your system for the latest updates of your installed software -FileHippo.com Update Checker.
All you have to do is download it and run it. When the system scan is done, the Update Checker will open your browser and bring you to an update page on FileHippo.com.
From there, you pick up your updates and install them…and that’s it.

1What a fantastic little program,to say my computer is only 9 months old,the amount of stuff that wanted updating was unbelievable.

6FileHippo Update Checker and Secunia Personal Software Inspector are related, but a bit different in purpose, operation, and results. Both are good. If you would like to see what they look like in operation, I did short screencasts on them here:

7Didn’t work at all for me. first try it crashed; second try it installed a version that was older than the one i already had. No thanks, filehippo
