How bad can one mess up a system?

I tell you. Bad.

Yesterday I was trying to install Vista Ultimate, so after backing up my system, I decided to format my drives and start my new Vista adventure.

Everything went wrong. After waiting hours to install Vista, my PC just went dark. It appeared that the installation was running, but the computer didn’t respond anymore…and so I tried again, but was just the same.

I am really trying now to figure out what went wrong yesterday, because the only thing I could successfully install, was Ubuntu.

When trying to install Xp back, guess what? Is not working. I tried every Windows cd I have but no success.

The things is, I have installed and repaired Windows way too many times so I can’t say I don’t know what I am doing.

If anyone has been in the same situation as I am now, please, let me know how you fixed it.

It would help if you would let us know what error you get. I think this is probably you having MBR issues. You can find help regarding vista and ubuntu with xp on ubuntu forums. They have all the instructions there.

    Google it :D

    Hi Amit,

I fixed my Windows about two days after this entry was posted….in June. :D

Thanks a lot for the comment.
