This upsets me a lot.

I am a big Splinter Cell fan and crazy about its character Sam Fisher , and what they’ve done to Sam in Conviction makes me mad.

Why did they had to put hair on his head? Why? Did you see him?

The Sam we know, is a Sam with no hair and mean look and he should be like that in all series.

OK, I realize that it fits the theme of Conviction, but i want to see the old Sam back.

I just hope I’ll have the option to shave his hair when I’ll be playing the game.

Anyway…. you can see a high definition trailer of Splinter Cell Conviction on .

It looks very good and i just can’t wait to play it.

    Well doh!!!

Is like putting leather pants on Jack Bauer. They would never do that do him, would they?

    I’m not sure about that.

Sam Fisher always had hair up until the last game where they shaved it off for him to look like a prisoner.
Have a look back at previous games, the hair is there :)

Look, here he is in what I think is the original splinter cell.

Ummm…Becks, that ain’t hair. Ok, it is, but is very very short.
    What he’s got now…that’s hair.

    What about this one?

Okay it is shorter but theres quite a bit of it, its hardly crew cut :)

And this is splinter cell 2

I must admit though that the hair in the Conviction game is a LOT longer, he looks like a caveman with the beard too.

My guess is he is inflitrating some kind of eco-terrorist group :)

When I first saw the trailer a few weeks back I didn’t realise it was Sam Fisher, I was horrified and thought it was some newcomer. lol

Becks, that’s still no hair. Is still very short compared with the one now.

He is actually running away from the government so he has to find hos way through the city.

Probably, his new look is to make it easy for him not to be recognized or… they just show us that Sam is in a miserable point of his life.

  16. Becky | June 17th, 2007 at 12:06 pm

I don’t think having no spy stuff is necessarily a bad thing. We have seen the games evolve and Sam’s life change through the games. Losing his daughter was bound to have an effect on his life and things will take a change of direction.

I think it would be wise for the developers to take a change of storyline before people tire of the same old spy stuff.

  17. Carol | June 17th, 2007 at 12:16 pm

To Sam - I actually believe it will have lots of great new stuff. The spysh thing…well, Sam is going to walk again in shadows because he is wanted by both Gov. and the terrorists. Not really spying, but stealth is still there.
The makers have kept the style of the game, except is happening more on the streets.

To Becks - Agree with the rest except the first line.
It is a bad thing. Sam may be jobless but he is SAM. I can’t put this better in words. He is supposed to do that.
    Anyway…
Knowing the fact that he is now wanted by both parties we shall expect him infiltrating (still) and taking down everything that stays on his way.
He’ll be probably a bit more aggressive than usual. And he is now alone against everyone else.

  18. Becky | June 17th, 2007 at 12:40 pm

He may still be Sam, but he is a different Sam to the Sam we knew from the first games. His life has changed alot.
Yes there will still be the infiltrations of places, but not in a spy way.

I think more games should evolve characters as they get older, because after all, we all evolve and change as people as we get older. I am certainly not the same person I was 10 years ago. Why should a video game character be any different and have the same changes?

Haha what are you talkin about, Sam has had hair on his head all the games but SC: Double Agent! So I dont see much difference in this new Sam.

  20. Carol | June 28th, 2007 at 9:47 pm

    Huh? Come on Jewey!!!
His hair is so long now. The hair before was so short and nice.
