SECURING WINDOWS XP v2 beta guide
General, Security, Links, Freebies, Browsers, Technology, Blogging, Software, Internet, Windows, Freeware, Geeks, Privacy July 28th, 2006
This guide will show you how to secure Windows XP. While it covers the basics it also goes beyond them without going into “paranoid” mode. Protecting yourself from all the “bad guys” on the Internet requires a multi-tiered approach. There is no single product, either hardware or software based that will adequately protect you from the perils of being connected to the Internet. Only you can protect yourself and that will require some effort to understand the nature of the threats, the potential ways to protect yourself, and how these protective measures can be integrated together.

About
Thanks for the advice Carol, luckily i’ve already gor Ad Aware,Spybot and Spyware Blaster with Firefox installed as well as Mcafee firewall and anti virus. If you haven’t got any of these programs try CNET or ZDNET,they are usually available for free download.
Dave,i’ve used before McAfee and i won’t do it again.
Had problems and when i tried uninstall it,even more troubles.
I have all those and i use Zonealarm security suite +avg(as an extra security).
So far ,i am secured enough.
