I’ve just finished reading a great article on The New York Times about developing new habits.
It’s a beautiful article, very insightful and well written. In fact, is been a while since I’ve read something so good as this post: Can You Become a Creature of New Habits?
From the article:
HABITS are a funny thing. We reach for them mindlessly, setting our brains on auto-pilot and relaxing into the unconscious comfort of familiar routine. “Not choice, but habit rules the unreflecting herd,” William Wordsworth said in the 19th century. In the ever-changing 21st century, even the word “habit” carries a negative connotation.
Please, do take few minutes of your time and read it. It’s all worth it.
