I get lots of e-mails from developers to look at/review their apps, some good some not, but when the developer of this wonderful app called Billboard FM mailed me, I got really excited.
Why the excitement? Because I love the music of the 40’s and 50’s and someone (thank you, Jeff)  thought about someone like me and arranged the songs by year to spare me the search.
It’s better than any music app I have ever used and If you think about the big music apps like Last.Fm of Grooveshark and wonder why is this one better than the others, I will just tell you that none of them are so organized like this one. Billboard FM is focused on the music only; no dead links to the songs, no distractions such as sharing or rating, no random lists containing the wrong songs. It’s just you and the music of of the year of your choice.
This is what makes it wonderful.

The simplicity of this web app is like none I have ever seen; you can choose the decade, then the year you want to hear the hits from and click play.

For some odd reason I associate the music of the 40’s and 50’s with Christmas and so this app will be my app of choice for this Christmas.

But enough about the oldies…The rebels of the 60’s, hippies of the 70’s and the disco fans of the 80’s, 90’s and present can also listen to their favorite hits.
Go ahead and see what’s been playing the year you were born, or when you were a teenager or when you got married. wlEmoticon smile Listen to music from the 40’s to present with Billboard FM

The developer did a wonderful job with Billboard FM and I can’t thank him enough for putting it all together. Of course he has lots of other plans for this app and I am looking forward to the additions.

Developer’s description:
“Billboard.fm is ultimate radio web app to listen to the top hits from all the decades from the 1940s-2010s all one one simple page. Browse by decade & year.”
