IE7 Menu-on-Top Tweak is a simple registry tweak that puts the menu bar back on top, where it is normally found in Windows applications (see screenshot). The zip file includes the .reg file to install the tweak, as well as .reg file to uninstall. Works well.

Download the tweak from SnapFiles.com : IE7 Menu-on-Top Tweak

Wouldn’t it be easier just to go to tools then check menu bar?
Maybe XP IE7 doesn’t have that, but Vista IE7 does.

YES! Brilliant. The menu was really bugging me not being where it should be.

You know what bugs me about IE7?The uninstalling.
I couldn’t install the final version over the beta 3 and i spent lots of hours trying to make it right.
    Grrr!
But the tweak works good and now my IE is working fine.

IE7 whichever version you look at looks rubbish. I don’t know what possessed the designers. Maybe they secrectly worked for Firefox aswell :-P

    Come on Becks!
IE7 is way better than IE6.
I like it because is faster than Firefox and i also like the look.

I just don;t like the toolbar. It is better than IE7 for functionality and speed but its just too ugly :)

I just realised my site does not look the same in IE7. There are a few elements missing. It doesn’t look bad, just stuff not there.

Thanks for the tip carol . One interesting thing to note about IE7 is that in my comp the final release passed the validation test while the beta release did not…

I just installed IE7 on XP and it does have that menu option. Just click on tools then check menu bar. :)

Is it the menu bar in top of the typing box?
