Lingoes Translator -Free word and text translator

For the Belgian and Dutch readers, the Dutch-English and English-Dutch dictionaries are ready for download. 

This is one great freeware!

Let me tell you that i have been trying many dictionaries so far, paid and free, but this one is very promising.

Lingoes is equipped with some great of features:

  • Is able to translate and look-up words in over 60 languages (bi-directional)
  • Text translation in over 15 languages
  • It can pronounce the words using Microsoft Agent technology
  • Clipboard translation
  • Online look-up
  • Free dictionaries and thesauruses
  • Online dictionaries and Wikipedia

My favorite feature is the Cursor Translation Mode.

Let’s say you are on a web page ( and not only) and you don’t understand a word, you can then use your mouse plus one additional key and you’ll have that word’s definition and the translation in the languages you’ve chosen to download and use.

As you can see, it’s interface is nice and easy to use.
