Debie, did you made a backup or a restore point, before doing that?
If you didn’t ,then i am sure you can restore your pc to an earlier date than the one when you installed AVS.

What you must do first is to boot in safe mode and choose The last known good configuration.

Hint enter and wait to see what happenes when the pc’s are starting up.

Make sure when you try removing AVS that you have administrative rights.
With Administrator account, you can enter Windows in safe mode and try uninstalling it.

If this doesn’t work, then let me know and we’ll do it different.

Carol, I just now saw your reply, I have got AVS removed in all aspects except for my Services and I do not know how to remove from there. I did not have a restore point prior to installing AVS so unfortunately I could not restore to earlier date.

    Thanks for the support…

I was wondering what happened to you that you never replied.
From your Services maybe you can stop it (Disable it)(search you pc for the name of that service and locate it).Maybe like this will work.
A good reg cleaner will remove the rest of the dead and null paths.
RegSeeker here will do a good job : http://www.hoverdesk.net/
    Is a freeware.
All you have to do is to start a scan and type in AOL or AVS name, full name, shortcut and it will find the rest.
I recommend you using as antivirus Comodo. They’ve got a free firewall too.
    Very good ones.
