Windows Updates Downloader is a little app that will let you download and install the latest critical updates for your Windows directly from the Microsoft web site.
If you are trying to avoid the WGA tool, then this is a good way to get your updates.
The program is easy to install and use and you will be able to download updates for Windows 2000 Pro, Windows 2003 Server , Windows Xp, Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Exchange.
After the installation you must download the updates list from the author’s web site - Jcarle - choosing the right language of your Windows or Office so you can continue.
Once that’s done, pick the updates you want to install and download them.
This freeware requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
You’re done!
Quick Update :
The updates will only be downloaded and not installed. You will have to install them manually.
To do that, find the installation folder of Windows Updates downloader or the folder where you chose to download them and install them one by one.
The folder is by default: C:\Program Files\Windows Updates Downloader\
