Apparently I am on the right click menu this period.

You know that when you delete a file by sending it to the Recycle Bin, the file isn’t actually deleted.

So if you are one of those who want to keep things clean and secure, you might want to get rid off the files by deleting them in a secure way.

I’ve got two freeware for you that can do that from the right click menu.

First one is - download the program and install it…and that’s it. All you have to do is to right click on the file you want to be gone and gone will be.

DeleteOnClick-securely delete your files

Second one is one of the utilities. When you install , you’ll be able to add Secure delete to the right click menu

Personally, I like deleting with this one because I have more options and I can rename the files before deleting them for a better result.

Honestly, I’m delete-freak person and the last thing I know it, the program deleted was very important so thanks to this and Happy New Year!

Eraser is another good tool for this; offers erasing of free space on disk and various overwriting options.

I got Eraser on my Best Freeware page and it is indeed a good one.

    Hi Carol,

    Quick question for you.

How do I add RegToy to the right click menu?

    Thanx,
    Myke

  7. carol | January 7th, 2007 at 11:12 pm

    That’s easy Myke.

Open RegToy, then go to Others, Utilities, then click the RegToY Utilities tab and then Reg Toy Shell Context menu.

When the window pops up, look at the Main Menu items and enable Utilities and anything else you may need. Just drop down the lists.

    Hey Carol,

I got RegToy show up in my right menu but the utilities folder won’t show up. Misc, Fast Utilities and Go To menus all show up. Everything except Utilities. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanx,
    Myke

In order to have the Utilities displayed, you need to right click on a file, like a folder for example.

If you followed what i said up it should be displayed. Did you do it?

yes. I have several files checked. When I do this for the Misc, Fast Utilities and Go To menus, they all show up in the right click just fine as per your instructions. It’s just the Ulitilites files don’t show up. The Utilities menu shows but not the files that I checked in the menu. The is not really any help in the help file that covers this issue. Thanks for trying to help me.

    Thanx,
    Myke
