When i thought i had every Xbox 360 error, another one came along.
The problem:
When loading a game into my 360, the disc spins for a second then stops. From displaying “Reading” it quickly changes to “Open tray”.
Possible causes:
1) There’s a problem with the console
2) There’s a problem with the hard drive
3) There’s a problem with the disc player – the laser got lazy
Possible solutions:
If you only have the problem above – NO screen freezing, No lights flashing – and you’ve already tried spinning several games, then try the following:

From all the games i played so far, no game pissed me off more than “Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising“.
This almost realistic military simulation game is beautiful but brutal. |
I am fine with the “one bullet in the head and you’re offline” because it gives a realistic feeling to the game BUT I can barely see the enemy through my sniper’s scope and i blame it on the weapons, the way they have been designed.
Because of that, only because i am given useless weapons that can’t help me spot the enemy, playing this beautiful game is a hassle.
On other games like Rainbow 6, which has amazing weapons, or GRAW, it’s a pleasure to pick up your weapon and storm the fields. Not in this one.
It’s not the type of game i would spend my late nights playing over and over again with my friends because this game was not made for me or for many of my friends. This game was made for people with military experience.
Codemasters, you have done an amazing job, but there’s no cookie to encourage me to even finish this game in normal mode and not because of how hard it is, but again, because my rifle scope sucks.
Silly, huh?
Maybe it’s not nice to make short and mean reviews, but this is how i feel about it.

Thinking of a present with 3 months before the big holiday season is a bit premature, but hey, we have to think of everything in advance.
I dislike holidays like that. You have to find the right present at the right price and have it ready at the right moment. Ah, we are so pretentious and it all comes down to presents.
For the existing gamers is not hard to pick because this end of the year will be rich in games.
Oh yes! There are so many great ones coming out and they all wait for at least one game to spin in their console.
But for the non-gamers is hard…unless you decide to convert them.
You could pick a Wii, PSP, PS3 or and Xbox 360 as a present and because i am not a big fan of the first two, i just picked this video below to help you choose between the 2 greatest consoles we have at the moment: xBox 360 and PS3.
This guide will show you the pros and cons of both consoles and it’s the only fair one i have seen until now.
If you are a parent, a console will be a great gift for your child. Of course, he must earn it first.
Let me remind you, that gaming is actually good for children and is good for you because today’s games are intelligently made and lets them learn and pick up useful skills.

I’ve been waiting for “Splinter Cell: Conviction” since last year to come out and i am getting very impatient.
Let me bring in some drama.
How could you do this to me? I am Sam’s biggest fan and is like you sent him to Iraq and now i have to wait for him to return. You can’t go around making girls cry!
He better be intact! You hear me, Ubisoft?
Q1 of 2010?! Come on! What’s a girl supposed to do until then?
Teasers! I hate you!

Oh dear God! It has been announced that this fall we will be able to use Twitter, Facebook and listen to Last.Fm right from our dashboards.
The Last.Fm addition is more than welcome, but can we please not poison everything with Twitter and Facebook? I already feel contaminated.
What are gamers supposed to twitt about? “ I just unlocked the Horde on Icy map packs.” Whoa!!! Who cares about that ? Gamers will go for the next achievement.
They are a lot busier playing games than facebook’ing and twitting , so please, try distracting us with something better…gaming related such as Gametrailer.com TV channel or something else.
That will make you sell us games.
By the way, why not simply add a browser? That would have been more convenient.
