Ring2Skype – Free SkypeIn Service- Have your number around the world for free

Ring to SkypeRing2Skype is a new free service that allows you to receive phone calls on your Skype from the phone network! Once you sign up, you will get a phone number and a private extension. All calls to your extension ring at your Skype.

RingToSkype is indeed a free service and a great one. I will explain in short how it works.
First, you need to sign up using your existing Skype user name and create at the same time a number. You can pick any country from the drop down list. You will be given a phone number followede by an extension.
Users can sign up for more than one number.

Now, let’s say a friend of yours needs to reach you, but he or she doesn’t want to pay for the call. You can give him/her your RingToSkype number and they will be able to call you, from a land-line or a mobile – free of charge – to your Skype account.

Note: Your online number is a regular phone number so any charges that might regularly occur from calling a number in that location still apply.

This method is convenient if you have lots of friends overseas or if you own a small business and want to cut down on expenses for  international calls.

Of course, if you don’t have a call forward set up for Skype, you will have to be around your computer to be able to pick up the call.

I tested this service and it works perfect for me.

OneBip – Pay simply

OneBip – Pay simply- Pay by mobile phone. No credit card or bank account required.

I haven’t seen yet a service like this one, though i know about this payment method which is apparently very popular in Japan.

How does it work?

If you don’t want to pay online with your credit card or don’t want to use a PayPal account, then you can use your mobile phone’s credit to make your payments. Pay-as-you-go or SMS payments.

You basically create an account, add your phone number – of course you must check to see if your mobile carrier is supported – and start paying. You will then receive a free text message to confirm your account.

It sounds pretty simple and i am sure it is.
OneBip can be used by anyone who wants to shop online. Contract and prepaid mobile phones are accepted.

As a business owner, blog owner or any sales you want to make, you can use OneBip to accept payments or donations.

Here’s a demo on how OneBip works.

Nimbuzz – Free international mobile call chat messaging with skype, msn & yahoo messenger, Icq

Nimbuzz – Free international mobile call chat messaging with skype, msn & yahoo messenger, Icq.

I got a tip from a fellow blogger “Life is a savage“  about this app called Nimbuzz and i gave it a try. It is a little bit like Fring but a lot cutter.

From the website: ” Nimbuzz Mobile lets you call, chat, message, and send files on the go, for free. It combines all your buddies from Skype, Windows Live Messenger (MSN), Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM, studiVZ, GoogleTalk, Facebook, MySpace, Jabber and many more. One login, one contact list, all accounts.”

As i said, a lot like Fring but…users can share files with each other, make phone calls while  hooked into a wi-fi network via VoIp accounts to landlines and mobiles without being charged.

You can also locate your friends, and…if you’re in the mood to talk to any of them, you can buzz them.
Nimbuzz can be downloaded for mobile phones and pc. If you wish, you can use it via web interface, just like Meebo.
