Vista Multi-language Interface - My favorite feature so far

There is no doubt that Vista is a beautiful operating system.

What makes it beautiful is not only the look, but the new features ; my favorite one is the Multi-language Interface.

Let’s have a closer look to the Multi-language Interface:

Let’s say your Vista is in English and you have an Italian friend coming over, (or French, Spanish, Danish, etc…) and he isn’t used with the English interface… Well, can you help him use your Vista in his language and make it easy for him?

Of course you can. Install his language!

From the Control Panel, access Clock, Language and Region, and then click Change Display Language.

On the Language option, check to install a new language. Once the language has been installed, simply drop down Choose Display Language and make your choice.

Once you’ve chosen your downloaded language, you will be asked to log off. When you are logged back in, the interface language should be the one you’ve chosen.

I believe there are 15 languages that you can choose from at the moment.

You can switch back to your language at any time.

Two shots of my Vista in two languages:

Microsoft has done a great job with Vista, in my opinion, and i am really pleased with so far.

Vista and Xp installation issues solved

Ok…. this has been fixed since yesterday morning.

I have been through some nasty time getting this one to work, and i have been trying every way possible to find the problem and then to fix it.

See, after i installed Vista, everything went wrong and the installation just blocked. When trying again, i had the same problem, so went back to install Xp…which didn’t work.

Windows Live Writer beta 2 xmlrpc.php error

I was so excited to try out the new version of Windows Live Writer, till i installed it and tried to access some of my entries. Then the errors started.

It did remembered my old log in data, but it just wouldn’t work on the new version.

So, when trying to access the files from my blog, update my blog’s style or even update my log in data, i bumped into an error related to the xmlrpc.php and i was forbidden to access it because…it couldn’t be found.

Huh?

Update - Sunday July 27th 2008

Some help/resources links  about the xbox live chat issue:

Update - Sunday July 20th 2008

On June 20th, exactly a month back, i wrote an e-mail to Microsoft Live Support team asking for help on this issue.

So many of you have gone through this and seeing my incoming stats to this entry is just very worrying.

After explaining the problem with as many details as possible, giving them the link to this entry and pointing out to your comments, i kind of expected them to send me a nice answer that would help us fix this issue.

Instead, i got this:

  Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email. In order to respond effectively to your email we need to investigate further. Therefore please contact the Xbox Customer Support team .

Kind Regards,

<Lily

Xbox Support

www.xbox.com/support/contact/

Ummm…pardon me,miss Lily, but didn’t i just contacted the support team? Aren’t you supposed to assign this to someone in your team and have an answer sent to me about the issue’s status?

See, i do service desk and i wouldn’t dare sending this  confusing e-mail to my customers.

Are you looking into my issue or why are you asking me to contact the Support team when i just did it?

Thanks anyway dear. I will contact you again if that’s how things work.

Recap: My e-mail to Microsoft Xbox support was unsuccessful even though i gave them the best possible reason to look into this: It’s paying customers.

Maybe if i try again it’ll work.

If any of you have contacted the Support for this matter, please let us know what their answer was? Is there any fix for the connection besides the fix i posted below last year?
