Safari for Windows is out, but don’t install it yet

Apple’s browser – Safari, is officially out for Windows Xp and Vista.
But don’t download it yet, because is more Alfa than Beta.
After i installed it, i ran into problems and it kept shutting down on me, when i was trying to import my bookmarks, for example.
Web pages are also not being correctly displayed as you can see on the shot below.
According to Digital Inspiration, Safari is also having issues displaying fonts.
I am really exited about having this browser, but at the moment is very buggy, so won’t be using it until they release a patch.

Today’s security tools- TrendProtect Now Firefox and IE Extension

TrendProtect NOW (beta) is a plugin for Firefox and Internet Explorer that will help you to keep the nasties away from your computer while browsing the Internet.
What this plugin actually does, is to show you the web site’s reputation by warning you if the page you are browsing is secure or not, with a button that is placed on your toolbar.
It also displays the warning buttons into your Google, Yahoo and Msn searches.
You can set up the content filter by clicking the TrendProtect button and go to the settings.
One other extra that TrendProtect Now offers is the ” Check your Computer Security” option.
This option enables you to scan your computer for viruses, worms, trojans and spyware, right from your browser with Trend Secure HouseCall Free scan.

Disclaimer : While i know that most of these freeware are safe and stable because i installed and tested them,i will not be responsable if something goes wrong with your installations.Some of them are buggy and some are beta.

IE and Firefox fake login flaw

The latest versions of both Firefox and Internet Explorer are vulnerable to an unpatched flaw that allows hackers to snaffle users’ login credentials via automated phishing attacks.
The information disclosure bug affects the password manager in Firefox 2.0 and its equivalent in IE7. Firefox’s Password Manager, for example, fails to properly check URLs before filling in saved user credentials into web forms.
