Web site BackupMyBlog does what it says on the tin: backs up the database of any MySQL-based blog (such as WordPress or MovableType). It backs up at a certain interval (daily, weekly or monthly), much like a Cron job, and saves the backup files to their server. This is useful if you often forget to back up your blog, or if you can’t use Cron jobs…..

    Me too,Danny.
I was actually reading something that you can back it up by e-mail.
I shall have a look to an alternative way to back up a blog.

I too, am leary of letting someone have access to my db, but having a backup copy of your data off site has its advantages.

By the way, Carol, how did you like hosting your blog on Wordpress.com? I just opened an account, and am contemplating transfering my blog there since I’m already familiar with the Wordpress platform, just curious.

    Jose
