AOL’s comeback: Alto mail
Anyone remembers AOL?
I really forgot all about it. It’s a long time ago since i logged in; i believe the last was when they released the search logs to the public, back in 2006 i believe.
Anyway….They have been busy creating a web-based mail client focused on organizing your e-mails: ALTO.
It’s now in beta and you can login with only a few clients: Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL or iCloud account.
Once you’ve made the connection with one of them, you should see something like in the screenshot below. Quite sexy and it loads fast. I like that about a web app.
Although it seems to be yet another webmail aggregation service with organizing functions, Alto also lets you connect your Twitter and Facebook accounts, but…. i wonder how long will it last.
It looks good though.
